Lightly spray your face with a hydrating mist to make your makeup last longer. The mist will help set your makeup, keep it looking fresh and give you that just done makeup look for hours. This is great for keeping your makeup in place for those long days at work or nights out with friends.
For great looking eyes, use an eyelash curler. People tend to forget how amazing this product makes their eyelashes look. Your eyes look look bigger and brighter when you take the time to curl your lashes. Heated eyelash curlers can make your eyelashes stay curled longer.
Invest the extra money in a set of quality makeup brushes. Remember, these tools will be touching your face every single day. Spending more on these brushes can get you a set that will last for years. You should also pick up a bottle of brush cleaner, which is to be used regularly, at least twice per week. This removes dust and bacteria.
Always wash your face using a mild cleanser once or twice per day, no matter what your skin type is. Just remember to rinse off all of your makeup prior to using such a cleanser. If you do not do this you may clog your pores and get pimples.
If you have a high forehead, you can use common cosmetic products to draw attention away to your face. Using a matte, powdered bronzer or blush that is one shade deeper than your normal shade, brush the powder along your hairline beginning at your ears. Use a cosmetic sponge to blend well, then brush your hair over the hairline.
To help your eyeliner last all day, apply a thin layer of eyeshadow in a matching color over the top of it. Most eyeliners have a tendency to fade or run throughout the day. This is particularly true for oil-based eyeliner pencils. You can eliminate this problem by brushing a layer of matching eyeshadow directly over the top of the eyeliner using a thin makeup brush. This helps to set it so it stays in place all day.
Put on lip balm every day. Lip balm is an essential ingredient in keeping your lips beautiful. You should apply it to your lips at night when you go to bed, and in the morning before you put any lipstick or gloss on your lips. Your lips will stay looking younger and fuller.
Rosewater or cucumbers are great to erase dark circles under your eyes. These are natural treatments that will lighten and cool your skin. Moisten a cotton pad with either cucumber juice or rosewater, and then place the pads over your eyes for approximately 15 minutes.
Create a funky, modern nail design by using scrapbooking scissors with scalloped, zig-zag or other edges. You can cut regular cellophane tape with the scissors and place them on your nails before painting to create great stripes, two-tone effects, or other interesting designs.
